I wasn't expecting the mystery to pull me in as much as the romance did. The supernatural parts were interesting, and I liked slowly figuring out who the characters really were.
The world-building was easy to follow without pages of explanation. I did wish a few questions had been answered sooner, but the connection between the main characters kept me reading.
The story had a quiet, mysterious feeling that fit the title perfectly. I liked that the relationship grew alongside the bigger secrets instead of taking over the whole plot. The ending made me want more from these characters.
